During the summer of 2017, our robotics team did an outreach project at the Loussac Library’s Reading Rendezvous. We organized a station where children could build and race rubber band-powered LEGO cars. The young readers went around to each station to find the words that could be put into a story (ours was cleverly hidden on the arm of our demonstration robot). It was a great afternoon and part of our continuous efforts to encourage literacy in Alaskan youth.
