Encouraging FIRST Participation

Our team recognizes the value of promoting FIRST programs and encouraging participation in FIRST. Whenever possible, we volunteer at FIRST events and seek out opportunities to reach out to the community through robot demos and presentations. Some of these have included:

Volunteering at the FLL State Robotics Championships: We filled roles as judges, referees, emcees, and general volunteers for the event, as well as demonstrating the FRC robot to the students.

FTC State Robotics Championships: We filled a variety of volunteer roles at the tournament and also provided a robot demo at the opening ceremonies to highlight the progression of FIRST programs.

Science Pub at 49th State Brewer: We provided an overview of FRC robotics and our team’s goals, and demonstrated our robot’s lifting and driving capabilities.

E-Week Banquet: We facilitate the coat check for guests attending the Engineering Week Banquet. This serves as both an opportunity to fund raise, as well as another chance to promote FRC and showcase our robot.

Mini Makers Faire

Bowman Elementary STEM Night: We took one FTC robot and last year’s FRC robot to the event where we helped kids drive the robots around and talked to them about STEM and Robotics opportunities.
