SEVEN days till stop-build! It’s going to be a busy week!
Working with a Machinist: Today, Lawton (lead builder) met with the UAA College of Engineering Machinist, Corbin, to review progress on the components he’s been helping us machine. He walked Lawton through the process, all the way from uploading the dxf file onto the water jet computer to deburring the sharp edges and cleaning the components afterward. The feedback he provided, and observing the entire process, helped prepare our team for future communications of designs to the professionals who have to interpret and create those designs.
This evening we also had a pretty intensive build session! Robot assembly is coming along nicely.
