In Anchorage, we have a rich scientific community, which manifests itself in several ways, including a recurring event that caters to the scientifically minded called Science Pubs. At these events, those who are scientists by trade or by interest come together at the 49th State Brewery to talk of new research and listen to presentations by their peers. One of these events occurred on Sunday, September 8th, and we had the opportunity to send several representatives from our team to present. We gave a short presentation describing our team and FRC in general, as well as showing off our robot and providing a play by play of match videos from last year’s competition. We also talked about our performance at the Worlds competition, and the award that we received that qualified us to get there. All in all, it was a fantastic experience, and we were glad to have this opportunity to speak to the world of science.
