On January 21, the SIM team connected on Zoom to go over the framework for the Java simulation. We divided the project into two classes, a FRC2020 match class and a robot class. . The FRC2020 class runs a match that consists of 6 robots from the robot class. Each robot has its own parameters based on ideas we generated in the spreadsheet calculator. The match is based around a game clock that counts from 0 to 150 seconds and during that loop the robots can select actions based on their preferred actions given the game parameters. . The team hopes to finish the console app soon and move to create a graphical interface that allows non-programmers to participate in the simulation.
